Rentals at The Kayak Shack

If you're the adventerous sort, like to do things on your own, have friends with their own kayaks inviting you to join them for a paddle or just want to try out the sport without the expense, then renting a kayak for a day or a week is just the answer. We offer boats for most conditions from sit on tops to play around on, to recreational boats for a small day paddle or fishing trip, to full on touring sea kayaks for the big lake or longer trips. all rentals include paddles and life jackets, both of which are required by New York State Law.

We also offer rental packages for longer durations, as well as most all of our tour and instructional programs.

We accept credit cards and also delivery to popular nearby launch sites as well as service to Ausable Point Campground during the summer season.

Kayaking is generally considered a very safe sport HOWEVER when it starts to go bad it gets bad REAL quick. So please express any concerns you may have about your journey and we will try to help. Unfortunately you paddle at your own risk.
